Get Schooled on Rock
A trip to Graceland will offer an opportunity to learn about music, Memphis history, the life of Elvis Presley and more. Students will go on a one of a kind journey through Elvis’ humble beginnings and rise to superstardom with up close and personal looks at the influence that forever changed music. They can explore the life of the king of rock ‘n’ roll through videos, photos, personal mementos, artifacts, movie memorabilia, stage costumes and more.

The Platinum Tour

Duration: Approximately three hours

Includes:

• Graceland Mansion Audio Tour
  • Main Level of the home
  • Two rooms in basement
  • Exhibit of Elvis’ early years
  • Elvis’ father’s business office
  • Trophy Building with gold records, awards, etc.
  • Racquetball Building with Exhibits
  • Meditation Garden, final resting place of Elvis
• Elvis’s two custom jets
• Elvis in Hollywood - New for 2009!
• Elvis Automobile Museum - New additions for 2009!
• Elvis Lives: The King of Pop Culture - New for 2009!
• Private Presley

This rate is offered to student groups including scout troops, church youth groups, sports teams, etc. that are not booked through and paid for by a school.

Performance Opportunities at Graceland

Student choral and band groups are also welcome to perform in Graceland Plaza located across the street from Graceland Mansion. Important information and requirements for performing at Graceland are as follows:

• Only outdoor locations are available (to be determined by number of performers and weather conditions).
• There is no additional charge for performances on site at Graceland.
• Electrical outlets are limited.
• Limited number of chairs available (if requested in advance)
• 14 days advance notification required
• Group must purchase tickets for a tour of Graceland.
• Performances allowed only during regular business hours
